The Sport & Rec Club Where Everyone Is Welcome!

For over three decades, New Horizons Tasmania has been a leader in inclusive sport and recreation, positively impacting countless lives. Established in 1986, we believe in the power of sport, recreation, and a welcoming environment to strengthen communities and change lives.

Our doors are open to individuals with any disability—intellectual, physical, spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders, and more—starting from age 5 and up, along with their families. Ready to join us? Find out how here.

Programs are usually volunteer led and many are run in conjunction with local, state and national partner groups. Depending on the season, New Horizons Tasmania run approximately 30 programs per week across Tasmania.

Beyond our sport and recreation programs, we host exciting carnivals, social functions (including our beloved monthly Dinner Club), and thrilling interstate sporting trips. We’re thrilled to have program coordinators now working in Launceston, Hobart, and on the North-West Coast. Additionally, a passionate volunteer branch operates in Scottsdale, offering engaging weekly activities.
