New Horizons has been leading the way in inclusive sport and recreation in Tasmania since 1986.
Membership is open to people with any disability (intellectual, physical, spectrum disorders, anxiety disorders and more), from ages 5 and up and their families. For information on how to join, please click here.
Depending on the season, up to 23 programs a week run across the state. See our timetable here for a full list of sports and activities. We also host carnivals, social functions and interstate sporting trips.
Programs are usually volunteer led and many are run in conjunction with local, state and national partner groups.
I often get asked by people: what is New Horizons Club like?
My response is always the same: it is a beautiful community of people who all share a desire to make the most of opportunities; it is a place that all members can belong and be their best.

The partnership program with LCGS and New Horizons continues to be a session of great fun and friendship... not to mention also a great source of talent.

Belinda (Boss) Kitto, you are so amazing. Thank you for helping AFL Tas to organise and run this carnival. I guarantee this carnival would not have gone ahead without the amazing work Belinda put it.
