Tom’s role sees him co-ordinating and running multiple sport and recreation programs for NHT members in Northern Tasmania. Tom joined NHT in 2021 with a passion for sport and helping others, which made taking on this role the perfect opportunity for him. Tom studied a Bachelor of Business majoring in Sports Management and prior to joining NHT, Tom was at Devonport City Council in facility management.
One of the things Tom loves most about his role as Sport & Recreation Coordinator is that he gets to interact daily with our wonderful members. He’s truly passionate about being able to provide sport and recreation opportunities for people that otherwise wouldn’t be able to be involved in such activities – and says he’s certain he often gets more out of the programs than our members do!
Tom grew up in Carrick and lives in Perth with his lovely partner, Olivia and their kitten, Rubes. When he’s not at work, you can either find Tom running around blowing a whistle on the football field or inside playing his PlayStation. Tom and Olivia recently purchased their first home, so much of their spare time is spent doing fun DIY and home improvement projects around the house. Tom is passionate about Liverpool Football Club, football umpiring, running and watching cricket.
Tom is much-loved by our NHT members and staff alike. His warm energy and beaming smile make every day in the office with Tom a pleasure. His infectious laugh, easy-going nature and dedication to his job make him a valued NHT team member. He always goes above and beyond in everything he does, giving 110% every day. We feel very lucky to have Tom on the team!
