Kim Butterworth

Executive Officer

Kim joined NHT in 2023 as the Executive Officer, bringing extensive expertise in governance – including risk management, policy development, board support, work health and safety – as well as exceptional organisational and communication skills. Before joining NHT, Kim spent over 20 years in personal injury insurance, specialising in workers’ compensation and motor accident injuries. She has also contributed her creativity to NHT by sharing craft ideas and delivering the art program.

Originally from small towns in South Australia, Kim moved to Tasmania with her family in 1988. She is passionate about her family (husband and two children), animals (currently having six cats and always being eager to interact with any animal she encounters—even snakes), cooking and creating craft and art.

Since her first day at NHT, Kim has felt a strong sense of belonging, describing NHT as an extended family offering unwavering support. The friendships and skills she has gained since joining are invaluable to her.

Kim’s fabulous energy, witty sense of humour and bubbly personality make her a much-loved and highly valued member of the NHT Team.
